About

I'm a developer and systems engineer specialising in DevOps tooling. Currently 23 and living in Oxford. I work with Linux, networking, security and embedded systems. Outside of work I enjoy building things, sports and photography.

I currently work for Nimvelo, a hosted VoIP service for business in the UK. I help design, plan and manage the infrastructure and work on some of the platform's software. You can view my work history below.

If you would like to get in contact with me, you can send me an email or contact me on Twitter.

You can also find me on GitHub and LinkedIn. If you're more of a visual person, I'm on Instagram, 500px and Flickr.

History

Nimvelo

Nimvelo (Sipcentric Ltd) is a business class hosted VoIP service based in the UK. Founded in 2010, it focuses on providing a feature-rich service, utilising the latest technology and offering dedicated customer support.

When I first joined the team in 2012, I was brought in to help manage and plan the platform's infrastructure for the scalability that was required to suit the growing customer base.

Since then I have been involved in designing our multi-datacentre network around the country, as well as writing software for our internal management applications and our client facing applications.

The Development Manager

TDM consists of an academy for courses & apprenticeships, as well as an open source services team.

I was invited to TDM to complete a Level 3 ICT Professional Apprenticeship while working for the open source services team.

During my apprenticeship I undertook a variety of certifications including LPIC 101 & 102, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA A+. I completed these while managing dozens of Linux servers running LAMP stacks for various businesses and educational institutions.

At TDM, I had the opportunity to install an open source multisite VoIP deployment which, after my apprenticeship, led me to Sipcentric.

DXDServers.com

DXDServers.com was a small web hosting company I set up during college, in order to learn about Linux operating systems in a production environment, as well as other server technologies (including HAProxy, Nginx, DNS and MySQL).

Many of the original sites are still hosted by myself, but DXDServers.com is no longer operational.
